Moby Dick
Arriving on a tidal wave of international acclaim, the Irish theatre company Gare St. Lazare Players Ireland presents their acclaimed adaptation of Moby Dick by Herman Melville. Directed by Judy Hegarty Lovett and performed as a one-man show by the masterful storyteller Conor Lovett, MOBY DICK also features live musical accompaniment by renowned Irish traditional musician Caoimhin O’Raghallaigh. This production premiered in Youghal Co. Cork which was the setting for New Bedford in John Huston’s movie version of Moby Dick in 1954. The company are delighted to be bringing the work to the region that was central to US whaling and where Melville himself boarded a whaler.
