Galway Arts Festival
Galway Arts Festival (producer) was established in 1978 and is Ireland’s leading international annual arts festival taking place in July each year. As a producer and curator the Festival has toured work to the Perth, Edinburgh and Adelaide Arts Festivals, and later this year will present a major exhibition The Road by artist Hughie O’Donoghue in Prague.

Misterman
Misterman reunites two of Ireland’s brightest stars—actor Cillian Murphy and writer/director Enda Walsh—for the first time since their collaboration on Disco Pigs fifteen years ago. Cillian Murphy (Inception, The Dark Knight/Batman Begins, Breakfast on Pluto, The Wind that Shakes the Barley) makes a spectacular return to the New York stage with a dark, dangerous and blisteringly funny tale of one young man on his judgment day.
They are joined by a world-class creative team. The production is designed by Jamie Vartan, with lighting by Adam Silverman. It features sound design by Gregory Clarke (Tony Award winner for Equus) as well as the world premiere of a specially-commissioned score by Donnacha Dennehy (Crash Ensemble).
The show has garnered tremendous praise overseas. The Guardian raved, “Murphy is riveting…a bravura celebration of [Walsh’s] theatrical vision,” and The Sunday Independent agreed, “Misterman is a marvelous achievement.” The Irish Independent has called the production “theatre at its most raw, most barbaric and most beautiful.”
Misterman will be the fourth in a series of acclaimed works by Enda Walsh presented at St Ann’s Warehouse over the last three seasons: Druid’s The Walworth Farce, The New Electric Ballroom and Penelope. Misterman comes to St Ann’s after a critically lauded run at the Galway Arts Festival.
